5 1p LifeLine Pawsitivity Adoption EventRegister Rotarians unite for good with LifeLine to sponsor a pet adoption event with support from Chastain Park Conservancy. Come join your fellow Rotarians for a pawsitivity fun time with the LifeLine animals and help them find their forever homes. The event is from 1 - 3 pm. Stay for the Bark-A-Cue and continue the fun. Steve Ivory has been a dedicated Rotarian since 2001 when he joined the Rotary Club of Peachtree City, sponsored by then-President Donna Turner. From the start, Steve actively embraced leadership roles, including serving as Club Treasurer, Club Vice President, GRSP Host Family, and participating in various committees and service projects. In 2020–2021, Steve led the club as President, steering it through a challenging pandemic year by innovating meeting formats and achieving a 254% growth in Foundation giving. His leadership then continued as an Assistant Governor under District Governors George Granade and Andre Marria. Professional Achievements and Education: Steve has an exemplary career combining military and corporate leadership. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Physical Sciences (1987), he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Gulf War veteran, and ultimately retired as a Major in the Marine Corps Reserve. He earned his MBA from Georgia State University (1998) before transitioning into a distinguished corporate career, recently retiring as Director of Quality at Eaton. Steve’s expertise spans quality assurance, engineering leadership, and structured problem-solving. Come out and support our Pawsitivity Partnership with LifeLine's Healthy Pet event. There will be 1,500+ pets and their people in attendance. This event provides the much needed vaccinations for dogs and cats as well as chipping and vouchers for spaying and neutering. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to engage with the animals as you help direct people, check them in, and assist with paperwork. Come for an hour or stay for the entire time. Families and children of all ages are welcome to attend. Volunteers will help check pets and their owners in and assist with crowd control. The event is being held at Wade Walker Park 5585 Rockbridge Rd SW, Stone Mountain, GA 30088. |

Lend a paw (or a hand) through our Pawsitivity Partnership bringing together Buckhead Rotarians supporting LifeLine's mission to keep pets with their people. We are delivering pet food to those in need. We will meet at OpenHand for an orientation and optional tour and then each carload will hit the road to help our furry friends and their people. A tour of Open Hand's new facility will be offered to all volunteers who are interested. That tour is also available to all Buckhead Rotarians and their guests who register as "Tour Only." Children and families are welcome. Coffee and Good Measure breads will be available for everyone and for purchase (100% of sales go to funding OpenHand meals)! And if this didn't sound like a reason to get out on a Saturday, we will be meeting afterwards at 12:00 pm at the Bold Monk for lunch and/or a beer (sorry, you will need to pay for your own food and beverages).
