Lights, Camera, Buckhead Rotary!
Get ready — something special is coming to next Monday's meeting. We're premiering the first in a brand-new series of short films produced by our own Buckhead Rotarian, Eddie LaRocco, and you are going to love it!
These films capture some of the most unique and significant accomplishments in our club's history — the stories that shaped who we are and sharpened our ability to make a real difference in the community. Some are inspiring, some are downright fun, but all of them remind us why this club matters. Eddie's company, Scout Stories, has brought them to life with heart and craft, in a way that's moving and unmistakably Buckhead Rotary. Trust me, you'll want to be in the room for these.
Our debut film features past president (2010–2012) and district governor (2017–18) Alec Smythe, reflecting on the evolution of our signature project approach to charitable giving. It's a terrific look at how a great idea became a defining part of who we are — and a reminder of the vision and dedication that carried us here.
Learning about our history will give you a sense of pride in being a Rotarian, and this series is a wonderful way to celebrate 75 years of impact while looking ahead to all that's still to come.
