President's Message: May 14, 2026I am super excited for Monday’s meeting where in addition to our speaker, Russell McMurray, we will feature Buckhead Rotary’s focus on our youth programs. Rotary Youth Exchange or RYE student Leo Klein-Kraneberg will share highlights of his year in Atlanta. RYE is an international student exchange program for teens aged 15–19, and Buckhead Rotary sponsored Leo where he lived with three separate families as he attended North Atlanta High School. Leo’s exchange comes to an end in mid June when he returns to Germany. We will also be treated to our Laws of Life winner, Lydia Bryant, Atlanta Classical Academy, who will read her winning essay. Buckhead Rotary is a proud Presenting Sponsor of Georgia Laws of Life essay contest, which is a character education and creative writing program for high school students. Buckhead Rotary’s sponsorship includes an annual financial contribution to the school. Monday promises to be an exciting program with a nod to these two talented students.
